Japan orders navy to shoot down any missles fired by North Korea

TOKYO, JAPAN (EarthThreats.com) – Sources within the Japanese Navy said that Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera has issued the order for destroyers stationed in the Sea of Japan to target and destroy any ballistic missiles that may be fired by North Korea, this order comes days after North Korea fired a Rodong medium-range missile over the Sea of Japan.

Local media reported that Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera issued the order but did not make it public to avoid disrupting talks with the two nations. The order was issued on April 3, 2014 and will last until April 25, 2014.

The latest missile test by North Korea fell into the Sea of Japan after flying 400 miles and the test appeared to show of defiance by the reclusive nation.
